About
Me

I was born and raised in the vibrant state of New Jersey. In 2013, I started my journey in the culinary and hospitality industry at Johnson & Wales University where I earned a bachelor’s degree in Food Service Management with a minor in Baking and Pastry Arts.

In the past decade, I worked in multiple cities, indulged in diverse cuisines, expanded my culinary techniques, and enriched my knowledge in the art of cooking. Notably, working with Chef Peter Ungár in Boston, MA, cemented my love for the hospitality industry.

When not in the kitchen cooking, sharpening my knife, creating prep lists, or grocery shopping, I am decorating my humble abode, taking a stroll around the city, and spending my coins on vintage pieces. Currently, I live in the Journal Square neighborhood of Jersey City with my two cats, Figlio and Fragilé.

My
Work

I am a personal chef for private residences throughout Jersey City, Hoboken, and Manhattan, specializing in custom meal prepping to suit the needs and likes of my clients. I also cater for small parties, where I craft menus to suit the occasion.

I enjoy sharing my knowledge and passion for cooking with children aged 4-13 years at City Kids, an after-school program in Williamsburg. I teach basic kitchen skills and inspire a love for food by making tasty treats from around the world!

At Scram, an artisanal bakery in Jersey City, I hone my baking and pastry skills while also making the tastiest breakfast sandwiches in the city. Don't miss the chance to visit the bakery and try it firsthand! For a sneak peek into my work and expertise, watch my latest reel, 'Day in the life of Chef Sam'.
